Karen Whitfield is a native and lifelong resident of the great Pacific Northwest. Her love of animals and artistic talent manifested themselves at a very early age. While her grade school classmates were still drawing stick figures, Karen was already drawing complex and highly detailed images.

Karen eventually combined her love for animals and her artistic talent, first drawing portraits of beloved pets for friends and family and, eventually, on a commercial level. In addition to her work in pet portraiture and the various artwork found in this website, Karen has also worked as a commercial artist for the likes of the Red Lion chain of hotels, her artwork gracing the halls and walls of a number of Red Lion Venues.

Her love of animals has continued to manifest itself through involvement in raising, showing and breeding her favorites - first Rottweillers and more recently - French Bulldogs.
